Miscellany.

It’s been a while, and I really don’t know what it is that’s stopping me doing this. I think it’s good old fashioned apathy. Here’s a quick rundown of what I’ve been up to.

1. New job going very well, extremely involved and really enjoying it.

2. Dad’s 65th birthday party, he got a birthday card off Bert Trautman, how cool is that ?

3. Taxdodger and his girlfriend came up for a couple of days, had a good game of snooker and a few pints.

4. Now looking for a nice sunny holiday for Christmas, last year was so good we’re doing it again.

Underwhelmed.

I can’t get excited about England playing anymore; even in a world cup qualifier we had to win. What has happened ? In years gone by I wouldn’t have missed it for the world, I didn’t even monitor the Holland match to see if we qualified. I hope that come next summer my patriotic lull is at an end, I couldn’t miss a whole world cup… could I ?

According to the construction of bacon butties regulations (1874) amended 1914 you shall ensure the following:

1. The bacon shall be crispy.
2. The bread shall be fresh; if no fresh bread is available toast is acceptable.
3. The brown sauce must be HP.
4. A steaming hot beverage shall accompany the butty.

I found this on the City message board that I frequent, it made me chuckle for hours.
